Rail Travel Self-Service System
ZSSK operates the so-called self-dispatch system (SDS) only on selected lines. The aim is to improve the transport-effectivity of the selected lines as well as to make more effective use of the working time of our train-personnel.
The operating system on these selected routes differs from the regular system. The passenger is obliged to purchase the train ticket before boarding the train or to have the zero-fare transportation card with him/her. On the lines with SDS, the train tickets and cards are being checked more frequently.
