Luggage, prams and ski

Passenger may carry hand luggage, which is considered to be:

• Luggage with maximum dimensions of 70 cm x 50 cm x 30 cm,
• Luggage with the maximum sum of dimensions under 150 cm,
• 1 pair of skis with poles
• Snowboard,
• 1 pram with a child.

Hand luggage should not take up more space than the space above or below the passenger seat. At the same time, it should not be heavier than the passenger is able to load. This also applies even if the passenger does not have a seat. Hand luggage is always under supervision and responsibility of the passenger.

If the luggage does not meet the conditions of hand luggage, passenger is obliged to pay the fare for the luggage according to the price list.

Dedicated space

Carriage of luggage in dedicated space for a fee according to the price list is available on all domestic trains (subject to available capacity). Passenger is obliged to store the luggage in such a way that it does not make any obstacle to other passengers and train personnel. Luggage is under supervision of the passenger. Maximum of 2 pieces of luggage can be carried (in total, together with other carried items, e.g. bicycle).

Mobile luggage and bicycle storage

Mobile luggage and bicycle storage is available on most long-distance trains. The luggage is carried in a wagon with mobile storage, reservation is not compulsory, however passenger with purchased luggage reservation has the priority to store his/ her luggage. Luggage is to be loaded and unloaded by passenger, but he/ she does not have to supervise the luggage during the carriage.

Due to capacity limitations, we highly recommend to buy the luggage reservation. Maximum of 2 pieces of luggage can be carried (in total, together with other carried items, e.g. bicycle).

• Single ticket 1 €
• One-day ticket 2,50 €
• 24-hour pass for luggage at the price of 2,50 €. The ticket can be purchased only in the ZSSK E-shop and is valid also on the Tatra Electric Railway and The Cog Railway operated in the High Tatras region.
• Weekly pass 6 €
• Reservation for the mobile luggage storage at the price of 1 €
• Special conditions apply on InterCity trains.

The luggage reservation can be returned until the train departure time (departure time in the boarding station) without cancellation fee.
