Night Trains Services on night trains

Please note, that services which are offered on domestic trains and international trains to Czech republic are operated in cooperation with company Wagon Slovakia Košice.

Berth compartments are more comfortable. The berths are recommended for your night rest, snack, hygiene package or a washbasin are at your disposal in a berth compartment. There are separate compartments for men and women, however pairs or groups may travel together. Please note, that in the berth compartments it is not possible to travel with dogs or other animals*.

 

*An assistance dog (dog with specific training) can travel in berth and couchette carriages. The assisted person must be a holder of the PRM card (ŤZP-S).


SINGLE (berth compartment for 1 passenger)

  • instant coffee or a tea
  • bottled mineral water 0,5 l
  • breakfast package
  • hygiene package + water for oral hygiene
  • disposable slippers
  • waking up 30 minutes prior to the arrival to your destination
  • help with boarding and disembarking
  • deposit of your passport or ID card during the time of journey
  • arranging the berths for sleep prior to the departure


DOUBLE (berth compartment for 2 passengers)

  • instant coffee or a tea
  • croissant
  • bottled mineral water 0,5 l
  • hygiene package + water for oral hygiene
  • waking up 30 minutes prior to the arrival to your destination
  • help with boarding and disembarking
  • deposit of your passport or ID card during the time of journey
  • arranging the berths for sleep prior to the departure
  • men and women travel separately, however a pair may travel together

TRIPLE (berth compartment for 3 passengers)

  • instant coffee or a tea
  • croissant
  • bottled mineral water 0,5 l
  • hygiene package + water for oral hygiene
  • waking up 30 minutes prior to the arrival to your destination
  • help with boarding and disembarking
  • deposit of your passport or ID card during the time of journey
  • arranging the berths for sleep prior to the departure
  • men and women travel separately, however a group may travel together

Couchette compartments are usually not separate for men and women. A sanitary convenience is at your disposal in the coach.  There are two types of couchette compartments:

  • 4 couchettes in compartment
  • 6 couchettes in compartment


Couchettes

  • bottled mineral water 0,5 l
  • waking up 30 minutes prior to the arrival to your destination
  • water for oral hygiene
  • help with boarding and disembarking
  • separate compartments with 4 couchettes for women in international transport
  • deposit of your passport or ID card during the time of journey


Seats

  • possibility to buy a snack in the sleeping coach located closest to the seat coaches. Please contact our train personnel for assistance.
  • This service is not available between 11.00 pm and 5.00 am.

In the operation of berth and couchette car, Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko cooperates with the company Wagon Slovakia Košice (WGS). The services mentioned above are offered in sleeping cars with services from WGS (domestic lines, lines to/from Czech republic). The services are accessible according to the technical and operational availability. In case the service is not available, the passenger is not entitled to reimbursement of the travel fare, neither partially and neither the reservation fee is reimbursed.


Services in international night trains

  • similar services provided by Czech company JLV are at your disposal in trains EN 476/IC 572 Metropol / IC 573/EN 477 Metropol on the line Budapest – Bratislava – Prague
  • similar services provided by Polish company WARS are at your disposal in direct sleeping cars to Warsaw and Kraków
