In case your journey is within Bratislava, it is sufficient to follow the time duration indicated on your ticket (zones 100+101), all types of tickets are valid for a single journey of the selected time duration if you travel in Bratislava. If you travel outside Bratislava, in Bratislava region or between Bratislava and the surrounding region you need to know through how many zones or in what type of zones you travel. It is possible to get oriented if you use the zone scheme. The price of your ticket includes all zones you travel through – from the initial zone up to the zone where you terminate your journey. It does not matter if your line stops in each of the travelled zones, once you cross it, it will be included in the final ticket price. On the other hand, even if you cross one zone multiple times, it only counts once. Bratislava zone 100 counts twice.
Example: If you travel from Bratislava hl. st. (zone 100) to Svätý Jur (zone 510), the number of zones is 4: 2x zone 100+zone 101+ zone 510 = 4 zones in total. If you travel from the station Bratislava – Rača (zone 101) to Svätý Jur (zone 510), the number of zones is 2: zone 101+ zone 510 = 2 zones in total.
