IC Trains Passengers with reduced mobility on IC trains

  • Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko couples the special coaches adjusted to transportation of passengers with reduced mobility on the InterCity trains
  • passengers with wheelchairs are transported in adjusted compartment
  • passengers can book the transportation and assistance in the call centre (Contact Centre) or at the ticket-desks. We kindly remind you to do so at least 24 hours prior to the journey. The terms are the same as on other trains (please click on more information)
  • The Contact Centre will also ensure a seat reservation to the pre-booked passengers with reduced mobility and their accompanying person. It is then sufficient to get and pay the ticket with the reserved seat at the ticket desk short before the journey.

Reduced fare

  • the holders of ŤZP (disabled person) card and ŤZP-S cards (disabled person accompanied with an assistant), and zero-fare transportation cards are entitled to reduced fare
  • an assistant accompanying a ŤZP-S holder travels on InterCity trains after paying the supplement according to the pricelist
  • An assistance dog (dog with specific training) can travel for free in the 1st and 2nd Class carriages and in the restaurant car of an IC train. The assisted person must be a holder of the PRM card (ŤZP-S) and is obliged to present evidence of the specific training of the subject assistance dog.
