Ticket conditions and validity
- The SMS ticket is valid on all ZSSK passenger trains (category Os) in Slovakia, except the lines Poprad-Tatry – Štrbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec – Tatranská Lomnica and Štrba – Štrbské Pleso,
- the price of a 60-minute ticket also includes transport of a bicycle or luggage,
- purchase of multiple SMS tickets from the same mobile phone is possible,
- you can make an unlimited number of journeys during the validity period of the SMS ticket,
- a forwarded SMS ticket is not valid,
- SMS tickets are available for customers using domestic mobile operators Orange, Telekom, O2 and 4ka (SMS to 2255) and for customers using foreign mobile operators (SMS to +421 902 02 22 55),
- SMS sent to +421 902 02 22 22 55 is charged according to the price list of the respective mobile operator.

Reduced fare
Reduced fare in the High Tatras applies for:
- Children up to the age of 6 travel free of charge
- from the age of 6 until the age of 16 without entitlement to 100% reduction fare,
- pupils and students without entitlement to zero-fare transport,
- a citizen aged 70 years and over without entitlement to 100% reduction fare,
- holders of a disability card or a disability-S card,
- holders of JUNIOR, KLASIK cards,
- a parent (legal representative) travelling to visit physically, mentally or sensory disabled children, chronically ill children and to visit children in institutions for social and legal protection of children and social guardianship,
- dog.
Claims
- The SMS ticket cannot be refunded due to a reason on the passenger’s side. However, a refund is possible if the ticket is not used due to the fault of the carrier,

FAQ
- The train is late. According to the timetable, the train should be able to complete the journey so that the SMS ticket does not expire. However, with the delay, it is no longer working out. Will the SMS ticket be accepted? How should I proceed?
Usually, the train personnel are informed about the delay, they will accept the time of the delay. In case of very complicated situations, we are ready to deal with them individually to meet the passenger’s satisfaction.
- The SMS ticket is valid for a specified period of 60 minutes or 180 minutes for passengers entitled to a zero-fare transport. Can I use for another train service?
You can, but please remember that SMS tickets are only valid on passenger trains.
- Can I buy an SMS ticket from my mobile phone for another passenger?
Yes, but the mobile phone will need to be available during the ticket inspection.
- When exactly does the validity of the SMS ticket start?
The validity period is indicated directly in the SMS ticket. In general, it coincides with the time of receipt of the SMS.
- I am from the Czech Republic and have a Czech SIM card. Can I buy SMS tickets?
Yes, this service is also available with foreign mobile operators.
- On the train, my SMS ticket is about to expire. Under what conditions can I buy a ticket from the train personnel for the next journey?
If the SMS ticket is still valid, you can buy another ticket without penalty. If it has already expired and you actively seek out the train personnel, you can buy a ticket directly from the train personnel. You will have to pay a service charge of € 3 in addition to the fare for a service purchase on board the train.
