Reduced fare
Discounted fares in the High Tatras are valid for:
- Children up to 6 yrs. travel free of charge,
- Children from 6 to 16 who are not entitled to 100% fare discount,
- School pupils and students who are not entitled to 100% fare discount,
- Seniors over 70 years who are not entitled to 100% fare discount,
- holders of a disability card ŤZP or ŤZP-S,
- holders of the card JUNIOR, KLASIK,
- a parent (legal representative) travelling to visit physically, mentally or sensory disabled children, chronically ill children and to visit children in institutions for social and legal protection of children and social guardianship,
- a dog.

Claims
- The SMS ticket cannot be refunded due to a reason on the passenger’s side. However, a refund is possible if the ticket is not used due to the cause attributable to the carrier,

FAQs
Train is delayed. According to the timetable, the train should be able to cover the route so that the SMS ticket does not expire. However, with the delay, it is no longer working out. Will the SMS ticket be accepted? How should I proceed?
- By default, the train conductor has information about the delay, he will take the delay time into account. Should very complicated cases arise, we are prepared to deal with them individually to the passenger’s satisfaction.
I am travelling on a longer route with my bicycle, even a 60-minute SMS ticket is not enough for me. I need two SMS tickets. Does this mean I also need to have two SMS bicycle tickets?
- No, you don’t. Even if you are transferring and have two SMS tickets and even if they are not contiguous in time, we consider it one trip and you only need one SMS bicycle ticket.
The SMS ticket is valid for the specified time – 20 and 60 minutes, or 180 minutes for passengers entitled to a 100% fare discount. Can I change to another service with it?
- Yes, you can, however, the SMS ticket is only valid on passenger trains of Category Os.
Can I buy an SMS ticket from my mobile phone for another passenger?
- Yes, you can, however the mobile phone must be available when checking travel documents.
When exactly does the validity of the SMS ticket start?
- The validity period is indicated directly on the SMS ticket. In the normal case, it coincides with the time of SMS delivery.
I am from Czechia and I have a Czech SIM card. Can I buy SMS tickets?
- Yes, this service is also available with foreign mobile operators.
My SMS ticket is about to expire on the train. Under which conditions can I buy a ticket from the driver for the next journey?
- If the SMS ticket is still valid, you can buy another ticket without a penalty. If it has already expired and you actively seek out the driver, you can buy a ticket with a penalty of €1.50 (paid ticket) or €3 (100% fare discount ticket).
