ZSSK Customer Account is the way to manage your train journeys clearly, easily and conveniently.

With a customer account, you have an overview of all the ins and outs and get an extra 5% bonus.
Buy tickets online anytime, anywhere, without waiting in a queue.

Your account remembers information about your journeys and archives your travel documents.
It also remembers your data, so you can buy tickets in a few clicks without the hassle of filling in your data details again.

You can also pay for your journeys online or by credit that you deposit in your account.
When you make a payment by credit from us, you’ll also get 5% of the amount you deposit as a bonus credit.

For non-performed trips, you can return your tickets without complications or penalties.
These will be credited to your customer account as bonus credit.

  • Sign up by filling in the necessary details in the registration form,
  • create a ZSSK customer account,
  • enter your correct email address and mobile phone number – these will be used to keep you informed about your benefits, but also to send you verification SMSs,
  • don’t forget to confirm your consent to receive marketing information and offers so we can inspire you with the next journeys and special offers we have coming up,
  • when taking advantage of the 100% fare discount or purchase the KLASIK, JUNIOR or MAXI KLASIK card, your ZSSK customer account will be or has been created automatically,
  • to use the account fully via Internet and the mobile app, you need to activate the account in the Internet browser (create login details – verify your e-mail address, phone and set a password),
  • the best way to enjoy your benefits is to link your account to the mobile app on your device,
  • when taking advantage of the 100% fare discount or a discounted fare, you will need to show the original card issued to you at the ticket-desk to qualify for the discount,
  • thanks to the 2D code, the card will speed up access to your ZSSK account at the ticket-desk or checking on the train,
  • to pay by credit, it is necessary to have a mobile number filled in, to which a verification SMS will be sent (sent for security reasons when transactions are made by credit payment).

You can load between €10 – €500 into your account.
Speed up and ease your payments – you’ll get a fee-free ticket refund and a 5% bonus credit.

How do I start using credit?

  • Log in to your ZSSK account using your email or login name and enter your password.
  • Select “MANAGE ZSSK ID” in the left menu.
  • Set your current phone number and verify it.
  • Go to the “Credit” section and load the credit by an amount of 10 – 500 €.
  • Choose your payment method and tick that you agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  • After making the payment, you will receive 5% of the loaded amount as a bonus credit.

 

Which types of tickets can be paid by credit?

All available ZSSK domestic and international travel documents (including line and season passes, seat reservations, couchettes, berths and bicycle tickets) with a price of up to €500 when purchased in the e-shop, the IDeme vlakom mobile app, in the Customer Service Centre or at a ticket-desk.

Tickets for the Integrated Transport System of the Bratislava Region (IDS BK) and tickets for connecting bus services cannot be paid by credit.

Bonus credit

  • Bonus credit can be used as a discount on the ticket price (reduction of the ticket price) when purchasing travel documents and ZSSK products and when paying by credit.
  • up to 25% of the price of travel documents,
  • these funds cannot be withdrawn from the ZSSK customer account.

 

Which tickets are not eligible for bonus credit?

  • tickets that are not paid for by credit,
  • selected international travel documents with a so-called global price (e.g. EUROPA EXPRES, etc.),
  • international berth and couchette tickets,
  • RAILPLUS customer cards
  • MAXI KLASIK pass,
  • Travel Packages – tickets combined with benefits, products or discounts of other partners (e.g.: Package “Travel by Pendolino to Prague”).

Bonus credit can be redeemed on the purchase of a single ticket paid for by a credit of €1 or more up to 25% of the ticket price (or 50% of the price if you have a delay compensation bonus credit in addition to the deposit bonus credit or the return fee bonus credit), and for international tickets, this option may be limited to only a part of the price.

When will you be credited with a cancellation refund as bonus credit?

If you choose to return a ticket paid for by a credit.

Does not apply to tickets which, according to the relevant terms and conditions or the ZSSK Terms and Conditions of Carriage, cannot be returned at all for reasons on the passenger’s side (e.g. EUROPA REGIONAL WIEN TICKET purchased via the e-shop).

Returns and complaints

If you choose to cancel your ZSSK account and you have used the credit payment, we will refund your deposited funds reduced by a penalty of 5% and excluding the bonus credit on the deposit and the cancellation refund, to the account you specify. You will not be able to renew your ZSSK ID customer account, only create a new one. You can make a claim by contacting us at:

In the request, please state your name, surname, address, customer card number, ZSSK ID number and the reason for the complaint. Please also attach the travel documents to which the complaint relates. The complaint can also be submitted at ZSSK ticket-desks.

If you purchase via the e-shop or mobile app, all your documents will be archived in your ZSSK account for 6 months. For other purchases, you will find them as purchase statements.

Bonus credit

With a ZSSK customer account, you have the option of paying by credit. In addition, for every credit load into your account, you will receive 5% of the amount deposited as bonus credit from ZSSK. (Applies for deposits of €10 – €500.)

Payment by credit is possible in the e-shop, the mobile app, as well as in customer centres or ticket-desks. When paying by credit, we use SMS verification to confirm payment, or you can set up a permanent PIN code.

Bonus credit

  • You can use it as a discount when purchasing a ticket up to 25% of the ticket price,
  • You can also get it when returning travel documents paid for by credit, in the amount of the cancellation refund fee for returning the travel document or for the original bonus discounts used to purchase the ticket.

The ZSSK customer account is available wherever you buy a travel document, whether it is a ticket, a seat reservation, a berth or a couchette.

Use your ZSSK account via the e-shop or mobile app, as well as at full-service ticket-desks, customer service centres and on trains (cash payment only).

How to do it if you already use a ZSSK product?

If you use the MAXI KLASIK, JUNIOR and KLASIK cards, you have already created your account.

To activate your ZSSK customer account already created at the ticket-desk or customer centre:

  1.  Click on ” Registration “.
  2. Continue by clicking on ” Registration ” and then on ” I have a ZSSK ID, I want to activate it online “.
  3. Fill in the required information and click on the “Activate ZSSK ID” button.
  4. Enter your new password and verify it.
  5. Check your details and tick that you agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Activate your ZSSK ID and enjoy its benefits.

 

If you need to return a ticket that you paid for by credit via your ZSSK customer account, we will add (credit) the ticket price (reduced by the applicable fee) to your credit and increase your bonus credit by the amount of the applicable fee. You can use the bonus credit for your next purchase.
