Thanks to ZSSK passengers could in the summer discover Slovakia by train – even regions which we do not serve regularly. In close cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Construction and regional Tourist Boards, ZSSK has operated 44 special summer trains on 10 routes.

We would like to thank you all who have used this unique opportunity – you can continue to discover the beauties of Slovakia by train, just choose the right connection and travel to your chosen destination.

Are you a passionate tourist, like collecting attractive pictures or just would like to have a nice day in the mountains? Take a ride with our Ice express and enjoy many beautiful places!

We take care of your train journey and our partner Košice Region Turizmus (Regional Tourism Office Košice) has prepared a wide choice of seasonal activities to do.

You can choose from group hiking or get inspired by tips for trips in the beautiful Slovak Paradise:

  • Get lost in the “Stratenský Canyon”
  • Cool off in the “Dobšinská Ice Cave”
  • Improve your fitness condition by Nordic walking
  • And many others

 

Trains and tickets

  • The Ice Express train runs every Saturday in July (04/07/2020, 11/07/2020, 18/07/2020, 25/07/2020)
  • Tickets are available at the Košice Región Turizmus online or in person in the Regional Information Box at the Hlavná Street 48 in Košice and also directly on the train
  • Tickets are valid for return journeys (return tickets), the price is always the same for all destinations from any station (global price).

Are you a passionate tourist and like collecting attractive pictures? Do you want to enjoy a good ski ride? Take the Ice Express and we get you right there to enjoy winter and back home again.

We take care of the train journey and Košice Region Turizmus offers a wide choice of seasonal activities for all the visitors.

The Ice Express does not operate at the moment. For further questions, please contact our Customer centre at info@slovakrail.sk.

  • In season, the train operates always on Saturday.
  • Besides the train journey, there is amazing program provided by Košice Región Turizmus.
  • Tickets are available at Košice Región Turizmus online or in person in the Regional Information Box, Hlavná Street 48 in Košice.

 

ALL ABOUT TRIPS IN THE KOŠICE REGION

Set on a bike-trip or just with a backpack and discover interesting places in the western Slovakia. Get there by Záhoráčik train. Záhoráčik operates thanks to financing by Bratislava self-governing region.

Záhoráčik does not operate at the moment. For further questions, please contact our Customer centre at info@slovakrail.sk.

Train connections:

  • The trains operate on weekends.
  • A special bike-coach is coupled.

Train tickets

Whether a planned wine tasting or bike trips within the Tokaj region, for all seeking the adventures – the right choice is Tokaj Cykloexpress. In cooperation with Košice Región Turizmus this train is operated also this year.

Tokaj CycloExpress does not operate at the moment. For further questions, please contact our Customer centre at info@slovakrail.sk.
