  • For Interrail FLEXI tickets, you have also to fill in the boxes that are on the ticket
    • data must be written with a blue or black permanent ink pen,
    • the Interrail ticket holder can travel on the selected day from 0:00 to 24:00,
    • if you start with a direct night train, for FLEXI passes you can fill in the travel report the departure day only, while traveling in the train after midnight is included,
    • if you wish to change the train on the next day, you need to fill in the travel diary also the next day,
    • for night cruises by boat, where the Interrail offer is valid, you can fill in the departure date or arrival date.
  • On certain trains, you need to pay some extra fees for the Interrail ticket, for example:
    • mandatory seat reservations (sometimes including extra services)
    • sleeping car or couchette reservations
    • use of cabins, beds in cabins and folding seats on ships of shipping companies
    • seasonal surcharges from June to September for ferries between Italy and Greece
    • port charges and fuel charges
    • refreshments included in the surcharge for some trains
    • other services provided in trains (telephone, newspaper …)
