Current restrictions in domestic railway transport

On all ZSSK trains, passengers must be protected by a respirator, i.e. it is compulsory to keep their nose and mouth covered during the entire journey time, according to the current measures. Passengers are strongly advised to wear an FFP2 respirator (without exhalation valve) to effectively reduce the risk of infection.

Trains IC 44/45 (Košice – Bratislava – Wien Hbf.and v.v.) are operated on the whole route. Other IC trains 52X are not yet running.

Current restrictions in international railway transport

It is obligatory to wear the FFP2 face mask (without the expiratory valve) in the public transport premises in the whole territory of the Czech Republic. The face mask FFP2 is required during the whole journey. No other types of face masks are allowed.

Trains EC 130/131 Bathory (Budapest Nyug. – Bratislava – Varšava – Terespol – Brest and return) will operated on the whole route from 1. 6. 2021 from Budapest to Terespol and from 2. 6. 2021 from Terespol to Budapest. This train service is currently not operated from Terespol to Brest.

 

Suburban international services

Suburban international services to the Czech Republic are fully resumed.

It is obligatory to wear the FFP2 face mask (without the expiratory valve) in the public transport premises in the whole territory of Austria. The face mask FFP2 is required during the whole journey.

Trains RR 96x between Košice and Mukačevo will operate from 1st July 2021.

Passenger Os trains from Čierna nad Tisou to Čop will operate from 1st July 2021.
