Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a.s. offers you the possibility to buy tickets via internet. Now, you can buy your tickets directly from home or work, from the comfort of your own armchair. Forget the queues; just get to the station a few minutes before the train departs.
Selected trains with possibility to buy tickets via internet
You may purchase tickets (tickets or tickets with seat reservation) for domestic journeys in all trains, which are marked by an icon PURCHASE OF TICKET WITH A SEAT RESERVATION or by an icon PURCHASE OF TICKET in the train connection search results, at the earliest 60 days and at the latest 3 hours before the train departure from your station.
ZSSK has extended its online travel documents sale offer. There is online sale of separate seat, couchette and berth reservations (separate = it is possible to buy the reservation document only, not necessarily bound with a travel document).
Payment
Payments are possible through the following electronic products:
TatraPay of Tatra banka, SporoPay of Slovenská sporiteľňa, ePlatba VUB of Vseobecná úverová banka, GP webpay of Československá obchodná banka or using Maestro, MastrCard, VISA and VISA Electron cards.

Please, take note of the fact that a ticket purchased via internet is issued for a specific day, specific train and specific name of the passenger as indicated on the ticket. It is thus not transferable and can not be exchanged. Tickets may be returned under the Business terms and conditions published on our web site www.slovakrail.sk .
Why do we need to know your personal data?
Contrarily to other transport companies, a train ticket purchased via internet may be returned at the sale point and the fare will be transferred to the passenger’s account, from which the ticket was paid. Therefore, we need to know the personal data of the payer. The requested data serve only for identity verification in case the fare is to be returned or in case of a system failure during payment. Passenger's personal data are also necessary to identify the passenger onboard. Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a.s. shall not use your data for any extensive distribution of spam advertisements or emails. A copy of the ticket purchase confirmation shall be send to the email address that you fill in. If you provide your telephone number, we will be able to contact you immediately if of any problems emerge.

Additional information
You may purchase the train ticket via internet at the earliest 60 days and at the latest 3 hours before train departure, every day of the year, except for the following technical pauses of the sale system:
- every day from 10.57 pm till 11.57 pm it is possible only to pay for the basket content,
- every day from 11.57 pm till 11.59 pm the sale is not possible,
the first Wednesday of every month from 0.00 a.m. to 4.00 a.m. the sale is not possible, - the first Wednesday in February, June and November from 11.00 pm to 4.00 am the sale is not possible.
