If you are a group travelling together by train, you may save up your money. Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a.s. offers significant discounts for groups:
GROUP – an offer for groups of 6 and more paying passengers regardless their age. The group discount is granted provided that one group member, who is over 18, presents his ID card. Group members under 15 are not obliged to prove their age by showing an official document with their photograph from 1st May 2008. At ticket inspection the group leader is obliged to show a register of group members (including name, surname, date of birth and address of the group members as well as personal data of the group leader) stamped with a stamp of school, leisure time centre, health centre, foster home, summer camp centre etc. The group leader is obliged to show his ID card when requested. This change does not apply for the GROUP MINI.

GROUP MINI – an offer for small groups of maximum 5 persons (maximum 4 paying adults and 1 paying child up to 15 years old), under the condition the group comprises one paying passenger above 18 and 1 paying child up to 15 years old.
One group member pays 100% fare, each other group member gets the following discounts:
- 25% of normal fare for group members above 15
- 60% of normal fare for group members up to 15
- 20% of entrance fee to all expositions of the Slovak National Museum in Slovakia
- the group members do not have to be in close family relationship
- the more passengers, the more you save up
- further favourable offers of our contractual partners
Throughout the year ZSSK offers packages of services, which grant you discounts on entrance fees to various tourist places and cultural, sports, entertainment and other social events when you buy a train ticket. When travelling to these events, you will surely appreciate the group discount offer.
